oh boy what was the last time i read a BL manga? i can’t remember orz. and i’m not so sure i’m that busy in real life so what the hell kept me from my 100+ titles to-read list?? anyhow, today i finally got this one down: Honto Yajuu.

my first impression of the manga was “wtf is going on the relationship began so sudden and so fast it didn’t even make sense lol”, and the fact that all the guys in here looks like 12 really bugged me. however i’m glad i continued with it because after a few chapters the couple started dating and this is when it’s getting good because the uke is too damn cute! he’s affectionate and fierce, and sometimes child-like but that’s what makes him so adorable, uguu xD the seme of this story is also a very interesting character. he’s the kind who is good to everyone, and that makes him a distance person (even his brother thinks so). but when he has some one in his heart (when he realized he had fallen for Aki), he is the perfect lover anyone could ever dream of!

on the other note, when i’m finally used to the style, Yamamoto Kotetsuko’s art gives me the feeling just like Junko’s does: it looks so innocent but whenever there’s an H scene it’s exceptionally erotic…

i mean, look at this >//<

now i want to try other works from Kotetsuko. wonder what title should i read next?

that moment when you can barely grasp what a story’s on about but you still keep reading because somehow, something about that story was too appealing you just couldn’t bring yourself to a stop.

now looking at the cover again, i think maybe it was because of the art. yeah i totally did say that i love her art before. messy and sketchy angular lines, and so detailed there’re just so many things to look at at every page, every panel and i found it very attractive. and idk, maybe it’s also because of some very sweet moments i could find here and there in the manga that make this story totally worth a reread as soon as i have more free time.

Sloth, I’ve sat here every day, trying to figure out how I could POSSIBLY explain to you how amazing this fic is. Every morning I would open the reblog window and stare at it, just knowing that anything I said could never convey it properly. But, it needs to be said and this needs to be shared because oh. my. god. Your words are brilliant- your descriptions are poetic but never overbearing. They paint such beautiful pictures, full of depth and color. I lost myself completely to them. Somewhere within the first paragraph, I forgot I was reading a fanfiction, and had all those great feelings of curling up in bed with a really good novel. I can’t even believe you’ve ever had any doubts about your writing because, honestly (and I swear this from the bottom of my heart) this has to be one of the best things I have ever had the pleasure to read on the internet. Maybe…ever. And the fact that it was for me…honey, I can’t even form the words right, because I am honestly close to tears with how honored and grateful I am. Sob. But onto less melodrama and more gushing~

The way it started off, just touching on the paternal relationship between Bruce and Damian. I absolutely LOVE that aspect, that POTENTIAL there and you captured it brilliantly. I adore that Bruce is taking Damian WINE SHOPPING at the ripe age of 15, and how skilled Damian is at it. It’s so perfectly dysfunctional that it’s absolutely adorable. The dialogue here was amazing, the way that they both spoke, never giving too much away, sort of…dissecting the other, was nothing short of perfection. But my favorite aspect was how you gave Bruce a teeny, verbal bounce in his step. He wasn’t all gloomy around the gills, and he actually seemed content (or as content as Bruce Wayne would ever get) and it was so wonderful to see. I think that last bit of this part has to be my absolute favorite in the whole fic. It made me laugh outright at how cute, and perfectly in character this Damian is.

Oh this part. I know we gushed together about this part, but I can’t even begin to get you to understand exactly how friggin’ WARM and FUZZY this part made me feel. Which is EXACTLY what Dick and Tim SHOULD do. The cuddles, and the Damian teasing was just too cute, and I love how Tim was using Dick as both a security blanket and protection. And that whole bit about it being Tim’s “birdhouse” makes me “AW!” every time. Also, I just about died laughing when Damian threw his hat down on the ground. It was just such an over the top, over dramatic thing to do and so perfect. Damian, you really are your father’s son, aren’t you? Ha ha. And oh god, when he went inside to CALL Dick on the phone. FUUU how cute was that? Not to mention that the whole part was peppered with neck kisses. I was so torn between laughing and going “ooooh…that’s hot”. It gave me all the feelings. So wonderful <3

Ok. I KNOW I’m bring HORRIBLY biased here. But. Favorite part. Absolutely, hands down, my favorite part. I can’t believe how perfectly you nailed this. Omg. This is exactly what I imagine Bruce and Jason domesticating would be like. Full of guns and resentment, and attempts at being normal just failing into a flurry of fights and make-up sex. AND YOU GOT ALL OF IT. Omg. I love how Bruce let him down, and Jason was pissy but still pliable, in that way he always is. The way Bruce stated things outright and Jason quipped back- “You’re angry.” “I’m always angry.” - was absolutely perfect in ever aspect of the word. The characterization was beyond phenomenal, and I totally got what you did there with the cupcakes. Ha ha! Oh Sloth, that little touch was just too cute and really wonderfully personal. Thank you. And FUUU. Just the way the whole thing unraveled, little touches through the anger to well…where it ended up. UNF. I love how they were having their most normal conversation while working to undress each other. Like the physical contact made it easier for them to talk. Such a beautiful scene, all throughout, and I just can’t get it out of my head. It haunts me in the most wonderful ways. You really need to stop doubting yourself with these two, because I assure you, you write them goddamn PERFECT.

Oh god. This. Damian and Colin really are the bow on this present. They are everything cute and pretty and sweet. They gave me all the warm feeling, and I smiled throughout the whole thing. I love that the entire time, Damian was running around trying to figure out the best ways to do this, and Colin just…up and did it. So easily. The characterization there was amazing. A lot of times, Colin is dismissed as meek, or a blushing “uke type”, but you captured him perfectly. He’s a go getter, sweet, but not unwilling to try for what he wants. And that shirt…oh god…that was just the cutest, sweetest, most innocent thing in the world. And how Damian answered! FUUU *melts into a puddle*. This was the absolute perfect ending to this. I couldn’t have been more pleased. I seriously…Thank you SO much for this. For all of this. You went so far above and beyond that I am actually MOVED. Sloth, ilu and I’m so glad I’ve gotten the chance to know you. And this fic…well, it really is the ICING on the COOKIE DOUGH CUPCAKES <3333

it went straight from “woah” to “what?”, because while i really like the idea of this manga, things happens so fast i still haven’t yet comprehended them all.

but then, i read it while eating my breakfast, using my foot to turn the page so maybe it’s understandable that i didn’t understand the story lol.

why did i even pick an on-going manga again so now i’m dying with NEED?? i need to know what happen next with Yuki, i need to know more about Tetsu (because i totally adore him), and Hyodo-san too! moreover, i need (am dying) to know if this story will turn out to be a triangle love or not because damn it i like both Tetsu and Hyodo okay!

about the art, i was really impressed with Kyuugou’s absolutely beautiful style ever since i read Senkou, a BSR’s doujinshi. clean lines, beautiful facial expressions that bring a lot of emotions… but seems like the drawing in her manga works and her doujinshi works are a bit different? in Acid Town i found the characters’ profiles are not as well done as everything else, especially when she drew faces so beautiful frontally. and then some positioning and anatomy looks weird too, but over all Kyuugou’s style is still my favorite type!

anyway, i’m really looking forward to the next scanlated chapters of this promising manga. and also, to read or not to read other Kyuugou’s while waiting? i don’t see why not!
